Sous vide (pronounced “sue-veed”) is a cooking technique that makes it super simple to achieve professional-quality results at home. The technique utilizes precise temperature control to deliver super-juicy, flavor-packed results from edge to edge, every time. To cook sous vide, food is placed in a sealable bag and cooked in a water bath.
The Anova Precision Cooker circulates water around the pot. The circulation prevents hot and cool spots from forming in the water to ensure an even temperature throughout your food. Food never overcooks. It’s just how you like it, every time.

Precis: works great for cooking frozen fish
The Anova Precision Cooker is an immersion sous-vide cooker with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi access. It can be used to cook vegetables, meat, etc.
I use mine primarily to cook fish, which I then saute in a skillet. For example, two hours of immersion will thaw and then cook a slab of hard-frozen salmon or tuna from Trader Joes. The fish could then sit safely in the water bath for another hour or so, but it never does in my house!
